HEAL THYSELF: Stress Reduction and Self Care

There is a reason they say laughter is the best medicine. Laughter is a coping mechanism known to naturally reduce stress. Play is known as a key to living a wholehearted life.

The opposite of depression is creativity. The best use of imagination is creativity. The worst use of imagination is anxiety.

We invite you to join us for a series of classes:

  • Engage in therapeutic improv games and exercises.
  • Break down defense mechanisms
  • Explore a willingness to be vulnerable
  • Express yourself creatively

All this happens while laughing, bonding, and healing together.

Imagine building your resilience through games. The ZOOM sessions offer a safe place to practice. Work on interacting socially, team-building, confidence-boosting, and creative expression. The knowledge learned in these exercises can be applied during difficult conversations.

Lisa Bany, the lead Improv Therapy Group instructor, will use improvisational comedy exercises to provide participants with techniques for dealing with stress. Lisa is a veteran improv instructor who has taught at Second City in Chicago for decades. Improv for the Human Condition.

Feel free to sign up for one, a few or all of our upcoming sessions.
No previous improv experience or training required.

Thursday evenings starting June 18th
